In 2016, the MCCT took on the competition at the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament, in Boston, Massachusetts, with their A team securing 48th place out of 147 teams.

The B team claimed the 97th spot, and the C team made their mark at the 119th position.

Their international presence was equally impressive, with the A team securing the 47th place out of 147 international teams, competing against the brightest math students from around the globe.

It was a monumental year, with 14 out of 18 LSU MCCT members making their debut as competitors.

They also ventured to the Berkeley Math Tournament in Berkeley, California, where the A team stood out at the 22nd position out of 74 teams.

In 2015, the MCCT made a strong statement at the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament, with the A team securing 5th place out of 135 teams in the Team Test. Their overall performance was equally impressive, securing 18th place out of 127 teams.

In 2013, the MCCT faced off against upper-division competition at the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament. Scott Wu, a team member, exhibited remarkable skills, clinching the 7th position individually in the Combinatorics Round.

The team secured the 15th place in the GUTS Round and a commendable 34th place overall.

If you are in grades 7 through 12, you are eligible to join the team. You will meet regularly to take part in math competitions at both regional and national levels, including well-known events like the AMC, AIME, and Purple Comet Math Meet.

The LSU Math Circle Competition Team is a partnership between the LSU Department of Mathematics and the LSU Gordon A. Cain Center for STEM Literacy.
