Multiple Choice
Part A: 30 questions, 60 min, no calculator. Part B: 15 questions, 45 min, graphing calculator required.

Fix Your Algebra First
+8 to +14 pts- More students fail Calc AB from algebra errors than from calculus errors — factoring, exponents, and fraction manipulation hide inside almost every problem.
- Drill limits algebraically and graphically, the squeeze theorem, and L'Hôpital's Rule until they're automatic.
- Take three full timed 105-minute Section I practices in the final month; there's no guessing penalty, so never leave a blank.
FRQ Justification Language
+6 to +12 pts- FRQ rubrics award points for correct reasoning at each step, even if the final answer is wrong — always show your setup.
- Use exact phrasing the rubric rewards: "the function is continuous because the limit equals the value," or "by the Mean Value Theorem."

Is AP Calculus AB hard?+
It's medium-hard and notably bimodal — well-prepared students cluster at 4–5 while students with weaker algebra foundations cluster at 1–2, with fewer students landing exactly on a 3. Content memorization is minimal; the exam tests whether you understand what you're doing, not whether you can copy a procedure from class. A shaky algebra or precalculus foundation, more than the calculus itself, is the biggest predictor of a low score.
