1) All National Honor Ensembles​

The NAfME All-National Honor Ensembles (ANHE) represent the top performing high school musicians in the United States. So much more than a musical showcase, the ANHE program is a comprehensive and educational experience. The 2020 ensembles will meet at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida under the leadership of top conductors in the field of music education.

2) American Protege International Competition of Romantic Music​

The American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music is open to instrumentalists (piano, piano duo, winds, strings, chamber orchestras, voice) of all nationalities and countries. Participants are required to submit video recording materials for the audition. Multiple winners will be chosen in each age category.

3) American Fine Arts Festival (AFAF)

The regular program of the American Fine Arts Festival is open to Instrumentalists and vocalists of all nationalities, K-12, college-level and amateur adults. Participants must perform one piece or one song from the standard repertoire.

4) Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC)

The Music Teachers’ Association of California, incorporated in 1897, is a professional organization dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in music education. With over 4,700 members, there are more than 62 self-governing, affiliated Branches throughout the state. On March 2, 1897, seven music teachers of San Francisco gathered together under Volmer Hoffmeyer, a Danish engineer and conservatory-educated musician, to craft and sign the Articles of Incorporation for the Music Teachers’ Association of California®. They had been meeting for five years in the interest of maintaining high standards in the teaching and promotion of music in the city.

5) Carnegie Hall

Carnegie Hall first opened its doors in 1891. Located on the corner of 57th Street and Seventh Avenue, it is a national historic landmark that comprises three venues: Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, Zankel Hall, and Weill Recital Hall. Additionally, Carnegie Hall also supports educational activities throughout the city and beyond through its Weill Music Institute. Qualifying to play at Carnegie Hall is a significant milestone for high achieving high school musicians.

6) Cooper International Piano & Violin Competition

Oberlin Conservatory of Music and The Cleveland Orchestra are proud to celebrate the tenth annual Thomas and Evon Cooper International Competition at Oberlin. Since the summer of 2010, Oberlin Conservatory of Music joined with The Cleveland Orchestra to offer an important new international competition for young musicians. As of the 2016 competition for piano, overall cash prizes will increase to $40,000, including a $20,000 first prize.

7) National Association for Music Education Competitions

National Association for Music Education (NAfME), among the world’s largest arts education organizations, is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers. The Association orchestrates success for millions of students nationwide and has supported music educators at all teaching levels for more than a century.

8) Music Teachers National Association Competitions

The MTNA National Student Competitions are the most successful and prestigious student competitions in the country Each year, thousands of students compete for top prizes and national recognition. The purpose of the Music Teachers National Association Performance competitions is to provide educational experiences for students and teachers and to recognize exceptionally talented young artists and their teachers in their pursuit of musical excellence.
