Pomona’s application deadline is November 8 for Early Decision I (ED I) and January 8 for both Early Decision II (ED II) and Regular Decision (RD). Transfer applicants, on the other hand, file by February 15. Financial aid forms run on their own calendar, usually one to two weeks after the matching admission date.

When Is the Pomona Application Deadline?
Pomona runs three rounds for first-year applicants:
| Application Route | Deadline |
| Early Decision I | November 8, 2026 |
| Early Decision II | January 8, 2027 |
| Regular Decision | January 8, 2027 |

You can submit through the Common App or Apply Coalition on Scoir. These dates apply to first-year applicants only. Transfer and financial aid deadlines follow later in this guide.
Pomona Early Decision deadline
Pomona has two ED rounds. The ED I deadline is November 8, 2026, and ED II closes on January 8, 2027. Pomona reviews both groups the same way, and the later date simply gives you more time to decide.
ED is binding. If Pomona admits you, you agree to enroll and to withdraw your applications at other schools. You can still apply to other colleges through non-binding plans while you wait on Pomona. Our comparison of ED I vs. II can help you pick a round.
If Pomona defers your ED I application, it moves into the RD pool for another review.
Pomona Regular Decision deadline
The Pomona RD deadline is January 8, 2027. Because this round is non-binding, you can keep applications open at any other school.
Most of your file is due on January 8, but your counselor can send senior-year midterm grades as late as February 15. Pomona is test-optional, so you can apply without an SAT or ACT score.

Once your application is in, the next question is when you will hear back. Our guide on when Pomona decisions come out lays out the release schedule for each round and what to do while you wait.
Pomona Transfer Application Deadline
The Pomona transfer application deadline is February 15, 2027. Pomona admits transfer students for fall entry only.
Supporting documents such as transcripts and recommendations can arrive until March 5. Pomona suggests sending your Mid-Term Report (Common App) or Curriculum Report (Scoir) between February 15 and March 5, so your most recent grades are in the file.
Pomona Financial Aid Application Deadline
Pomona sets its financial aid deadlines by application round. Each one falls one to two weeks after the matching admission deadline.
| Application Round | Financial Aid Deadline |
| Early Decision I | November 15, 2026 |
| Early Decision II | January 15, 2027 |
| Regular Decision | January 15, 2027 |
| Transfer | March 1, 2027 |

First-year and transfer applicants need to submit three items: CSS Profile, FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application, and tax documents through IDOC.
Pomona is need-blind for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens, so a late aid form does not change your admission decision. International applicants should read Pomona’s international student aid page, since their requirements differ.
Beat Pomona’s Application Deadline with Expert Help
Knowing each Pomona application deadline is the easy part. Finishing a strong application by that date is harder. Essays, recommendation letters, an activities list, and aid forms all compete for the same few weeks, and the November and January cutoffs arrive faster than most students expect.
AdmissionSight’s Standard College Counseling pairs you with an advisor for the full application cycle. Your advisor helps you build a school list, shape your essays, review each part of your file, and track every date so nothing slips.
If you only need help with one piece, our Ad Hoc Consulting lets you book individual sessions. You might use one for a final read of your Pomona supplements, feedback on your activities list, or a check of your CSS Profile before you submit it.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What if I miss the Pomona application deadline?
Pomona’s admissions pages do not list a late-application policy, so treat every deadline as final.
