Program details

Orientation: Every program orientation is scheduled to start on the Monday of the first week. This mandatory session will cover the complete program agenda, go over policies and safety guidelines, and provide a platform for addressing any queries. Our staff will be available to assist with any concerns. For those staying on campus, residential student check-in occurs on the Sunday before the program starts.

Project Showcase: A standout feature of this program is the chance for small student teams to collaborate online, developing engineering solutions for real-world problems. As the program concludes, these teams will present their final projects at the Project Showcase.

This event is a platform for students to demonstrate their designs and explain how they address real-world issues. Each group will share their code and a video of their operational prototypes. During the showcase, students will also respond to questions from their peers and instructors. The exact times and dates for the Project Showcase in Sessions 1 and 2 will be confirmed later. Friends and family are invited to view and engage with all the project presentations!

Materials: You are required to bring a laptop or tablet equipped with a physical keyboard. Devices from any leading brand (such as Apple, Windows, Linux, Chromebook, iOS, or Android) are suitable. Other Requirements:

Commuter Program Costs

The fee for the Commuter Program is set at $4,000 with an additional Materials Fee of $200. This covers all scheduled program activities, access to certain campus amenities, including day trips and activities, as well as staff-assisted airport transfers during designated times. However, it does not cover residential stays, main meals outside of program hours, personal travel costs, extra fee-based courses and activities, laundry, personal expenses, meals off-site, travel and medical insurance, vaccinations, medical bills, non-program transportation, and other unspecified costs.

Residential Program Costs

For the Residential Program, there is a fee of $5,500 plus a Materials Fee of $200. Included in this price are all program activities, specified lab materials, lodging, three daily meals (brunch and dinner on Sundays), selected facility use, scheduled excursions and daily events, bedding, and around-the-clock residential support.

Airport transfers are also provided within set times. Not included are personal travel expenses, activities with additional fees, laundry, discretionary funds, off-site meals, airport transfers outside the set times, insurance, vaccination costs, medical expenses, and any transportation not related to the program, along with any items not explicitly mentioned.

Health-Related Costs

Health Insurance costs will be determined and are applicable only if you do not provide proof of valid U.S.-based health insurance for the entire program period (the cost for Summer 2022 was $63.75). The exact dates for coverage will be confirmed later on.
